The Fishermen’s Lifeboat Museum is accessed via a sloping walkway, requiring some care. Inside there are steps onto a platform from which the inside of the boat is viewed and there is not sufficient space alongside the boat for wheelchair access, but the front of the lifeboat and the remainder of the museum are accessible. Five large photographic panels depicting the inside of the boat and the area at the back of the boat not accessible to wheelchairs are available for wheelchair users.
There is level access to the Shell Gallery with sufficient space for most wheelchairs to make their way round, although this might not be possible for large motorised wheelchairs.
